Family Promise of Bradley County proposes to address the issue of family homelessness in Bradley County. We will utilize existing community resources to provide a safe stable home-like environment for qualified homeless families with children.

Each week a different host congregation will provide overnight accommodations and meals, a day center will provide support with showers, transportation, and help with obtaining employment and permanent housing.

We are part of a national organization that has a 77% nationwide success rate. The Gwinnett County, Ga network has a 100% success rate and the Whitfield County, Ga network has a 96% success rate.

Family Promise of Bradley County will establish an interfaith network consisting of the following basic components:

1- Thirteen host congregations to provide meals, living and sleeping accommodations with restrooms, and assistance for up to 14 individuals (usually 3 to 5 families).
2- Other network congregations will provide volunteer support, helping, preparing meals, and so forth.
3- Family Promise will collaborate with local social services for referrals and assistance finding work, housing, health services, and other needs.
4- A Day Center will provide showers, shelter during the day, phone and computer access, and assistance from a Network Director to meet their needs.
5- Transportation will be provided for job interviews, getting to work, to social services, getting children to school, and so forth.
